Member positions advertised


SAT is seeking expressions of interest to fill two Full-time Legal Tribunal Member positions. The advertisement will appear in The West Australian newspaper, Professional section on Saturday 2 June 2018.

The State Administrative Tribunal is an independent body established under the State Administrative Tribunal Act 2004 ( (WA). It has a wide ranging jurisdiction to make original decisions in the areas of Human Rights and to review administrative decisions made by WA Government Ministers, public officials, vocational regulatory bodies and local governments. Members must have high-level skills in making and writing decisions.

Members are appointed for a term of up to five years and are eligible for reappointment. Expressions of interest are sought from individuals wishing to be considered for appointment to one of the two advertised full time member positions. Applicants to the senior member’s position must have relevant qualifications and at least 8 years legal experience. Applicants for the ordinary member’s position must have relevant qualifications and at least 5 years legal experience
