Time Limits
There may be a limit on how long you have to make your application. This varies depending on whether you are making an original or review application.
Review applications
Many review applications allow you 28 days from the date of a decision to apply to SAT. However, where an enabling Act imposes a different time limit, this is the one that applies.
The eCourts Portal will give you information on the time limit that will apply to your application.
If your application is outside this time limit, you can still lodge an application, but will need to be granted leave by SAT to proceed with the application. This will usually occur at the first directions hearing.
Original applications
Many original applications to SAT do not have time limits. The eCourts Portal will give information you on whether a time limit applies.
