Lisa Briggs

Lisa Briggs completed a law degree at the University of Western Australia in 1992 and was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 1993. After graduation, Lisa initially worked in private practice in general litigation. Lisa later moved to the Department of Health, working there as a senior legal adviser for 20 years. Lisa completed a Graduate Diploma in Public Health while at the Department of Health. Most recently, Lisa’s role at the Department of Justice has involved assisting the President of the Children’s Court of Western Australia in updating the Court’s procedures and practices. In July 2024 Lisa was appointed as a Sessional Member of the State Administrative Tribunal sitting in the Guardianship and Administration jurisdiction.
