Commercial Tenancy COVID-19 Response

New legislation has been enacted to assist those business impacted by COVID-19 called the Commercial Tenancies (COVID-19 Response) Act 2020, for information concerning this legislation please go to the Small Business Development Corporation website.

  • Applications made under this new legislation will be heard as soon as possible.
  • SAT eForm Application.
  • If you are experiencing financial hardship and wish to apply to reduce the fee please fill out the Fee Concession Financial Hardship Application Form.
  • You can lodge your application by email to sat@justice.wa.gov.au but please mark your application as Urgent in the subject heading of your email.
  • You MUST attach a copy of your Commercial Lease agreement together with a Certificate from the Small Business Development Corporation (if applicable).
  • Before you make an application to SAT under the Commercial Tenancy (COVID-19 Response) Act, you may wish to contact the Small Business Development Corporation for assistance in resolving the dispute. If you intend to proceed directly to SAT, you will in some cases need the agreement of all parties to make the application.

The State Administrative Tribunal does not hear applications made under the Residential Tenancy Act 1987. If you have a residential lease agreement please see the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety website for information.
