Decisions Based on Documents
In some cases, a Tribunal member can determine the outcome of an application by assessing the application and relevant documents.
The SAT may request that the parties:
- attend an initial hearing; and/or
- supply further information or documents.
Can I choose to have my matter dealt with on documents?
Applicants in a minor proceeding may elect to have 'no hearing' in favour of a decision based on documents. See Minor Proceedings.
